Hi, I’m Michelle

Before becoming a proofreader and editor I started out in the marketing and inward investment sectors working – in particular with Asian markets – before wanderlust took hold.

I left the UK for a life teaching others the joys and complexities of the English language. Firstly based in Thailand and also working in International Summer Schools in Oxford and Cardiff, before finally settling in northern Italy.

Initially honing my error spotting talents in the financial services industry, I then went on to teach and take professional training in editing. I am passionate about helping you make the best impression with your writing – ensuring it’s professional for your public, whoever they may be.

I graduated with a BSc in International Studies and have since studied with The Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, The Publishing Training Centre and The British Council to be a professionally trained proofreader and copy-editor, and qualified TEFL teacher.

I am an entry-level member of The Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), and continuous editorial training helps me sharpen my skills further.
